The afternoon of Wednesday 5th April, saw the Academy children receive the news that the Easter Treats, Friends of Worlaby had asked Easter Bunny to deliver to them, had been stolen. The pupils will be involved in putting forward ideas and requests before the meetings and FOW will attend the meetings along with the school managers.
FOW passed on £100 of your contributions to the school in March 2017 to pay for seeds, compost and pots to allow the children to plant and grow their own flowers.

The school is encouraging pupils to walk to school at least once a week if it is safe and practical to do so.

Walking to school has real benefits for children, here are four:
Walking is known to improve academic performance. Children arrive brighter and more alert for their first morning class. In a UK Department for Transport survey, nine out of ten teachers said their students are much more ready to learn if they’ve walked to school. Walking reduces stress and increases creativity, both of which will help a child’s performance at school.
‘Presents for Parents’ is a Christmas fundraiser which has proved very popular and successful over recent years. Being a small school, it doesn’t generate huge sums of money but the children love it and it’s a great activity to be involved with. Continue reading
